3 SMOOTHIE RECIPES TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS

Nutrients are the building blocks of your body. You are literally made up from what you eat! Our personal trainers are educated in nutrition to help guide you in nourishing your body in order to support your health and fitness efforts. Today, Gidon shares with us 3 smoothie recipes and tips in adjusting them depending on our goals.

Smoothies are quick, convenient and nutritious powerhouse meals! They are highly versatile, easy-to-digest and can be enjoyed anytime during the day, including the very important pre-and-post workout times.

If your goal is to gain weight in muscle, try adding extra protein to any of the following smoothie recipes. Protein can come from whey protein powder, natural nut butters, seeds and hemp hearts. You can also substitute coconut milk (which has a higher healthy fat content) for unsweetened almond milk.

If you wish to lose weight in fat, simply follow the recipes below (unless it’s a post-workout shake, then add a scoop of whey protein powder). Gidon has designed these smoothie recipes based on a combination of ingredients that lower the Glycemic Index (G.I.) of the meals, which will help you maintain a more stabilized blood sugar level and balance hormones. All of which translates to weight loss.
