OVERVIEW

Catch My Drift is a guided fishing and private boat charter business based in Ucluelet, BC in the summer and Vancouver, BC in the winter months.

CHALLENGES & APPROACH

Fishing has become incredibly popular the last few years, as has becoming a guide. Setting Catch My Drift apart from the others was a challenge, but also helped shape the look and feel of the business to capitalize on what makes this charter different.

The logo was hand drawn to give a more personal feel vs. a vector image that is crisp and polished. All of the promotional materials featured large, bold headings embedded with the photos used.

Josh – the owner – has been fishing all his life and is extremely passionate about what he does, often taking clients out for extended time or additional trips if they didn’t catch their limit. He takes time to explain the processes and products he uses, allowing guests to leave with not just their catch, but a wealth of knowledge they can start putting into practice themselves.

THE RESULT

The resulting branding package included promotional postcards which were left at local businesses, small signs that were displayed around town, and a large sign mounted at the Small Craft Harbour in town.

Additional items include photography and videography used for social media, exploration of cross-promotional opportunities with other sites, 70 page safety manual, and an interactive site that included an online direct booking calendar.
